We have a firm commitment to sustainability and environmental preservation. We use 100% of green energy and produce electricity with photovoltaic panels. We are converting our car fleet and our natural gas energy sources to electric sources. In addition, we have endeavoured to reduce the carbon footprint of bicycle production since 2019. This is a constantly open dossier, in which we endeavour to keep up to date with the most efficient solutions.
Water
RTE has implemented various policies to reduce water consumption, ensuring this resource is used in a more mindful manner. We have installed a rainwater collection system on the roof, which stores the water in cisterns with pumping systems. This water is redirected for use in toilets, urinals, and the painting system. Additionally, all our taps are equipped with sensors to ensure water is used only when necessary. These actions reflect our commitment to preserving water, a resource essential to the planet.
Recycling and reuse
We deeply value recycling and reuse and adopt practices that minimize waste. We use advanced technologies to recover and reuse powder during the powder coating process, minimizing material waste. We also use aluminium certified by suppliers who produce it exclusively with green energy, reducing the carbon footprint. We also encourage the reuse and/or return of packaging to reduce the environmental impact of producing new ones. In addition, we recycle all packaging that we do not reuse.
Reduction of chemical products
We use water-based paint solutions in order to reduce chemicals whenever possible, significantly cutting VOC emissions We only resort to other types of paint jobs when no viable alternative exists. Additionally, we avoid the use of solvents that are harmful to both the soil and humans. Through rigorous and continuous R&D, we choose safer and more sustainable alternatives for everyone.
Energy intensity optimization
Based on this principle, we have defined several strategies to enable us to reuse energy. We use energy recirculation systems to recover heat from compressors, LED lighting to reduce electrical consumption, and high-efficiency electric motors in all equipment. Automation and monitoring are pivotal in energy management. That's why we use smart sensors to adjust consumption according to actual needs.
Social
The well-being and safety of our employees are core values in our company. We have established safe working conditions. We have automated physically demanding tasks and invest in training for both factory and office employees, with support from external companies and experts.
